I come back here each night waiting for you to return.
Out of all the times I’ve been to Japan, I have never been able to get an overhead shot of the famous Shibuya crossing. Well, until my last visit a few months ago. Thanks to my pal +Dave Powell we were able to get high above the crossing and look down to the famous intersection below. I forgot which building we were in, but it was a great view. There was a window we had to shoot through, so Dave held up his jacket to block as much of the indoor lighting as he could to prevent them from reflecting off of the window. As you can see the city was alive with activity as it always is.
To be honest, I didn't think any of my shots from this view would turn out, so when I finally got back home and looked at them on a bigger screen, I was surprised by the results and at the same time kicking myself for not taking more with better care for composition. But at least I have myself some motivation for getting back there soon, not that I've ever needed an excuse to visit Japan. ;-)
