Thoughts on helping other photographers this Saturday morning--please read
I am not really sure where to begin this, so I will just write what is on my mind at the moment. This morning a close friend of mine +Lisa Sweet who is a photographer had her house broken into while she was gone for 30 minutes around the corner at the local farmers market. They literally took everything, from her TV to her laptop, to her camera and all her gear, to her phones. Pillaged completely. This absolutely breaks my heart, completely. She busts her butt to barely make ends meat and struggles so much in life and then has this happen....it makes just very sad. Personally I wish I could do something but where does one begin with such a thing? How does one do such a thing? I have known Lisa for years and she is such a caring soul, just a good person. Though she isn't really active here on G+, her works speaks for itself http://bit.ly/PQ6BID & can easily hold it's own.
So what do you all suggest? Yes I am asking for ideas here. She rents, doesn't have renters insurance, so everything is a total loss and the police weren't especially of great help. Then again, it's Baltimore, no shock there. How I wish I had the cash so I could at least replace her PC and camera for her. Maybe one day when I win the lottery. How would you all suggest helping her out? How would you go about it?
